Azure System Administrator

Position: Azure System Administrator/Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that solutions are aligned with project goals. Extends conceptual models with business rules to develop logical data models.
  • Develop analysis models using statistical analysis tools, data mining, and other tools to create high-level data architecture diagram documenting system and data flows for research computing.
  • Evaluate alternatives for integrating data sources with enterprise relational models.
  • Evaluate and provide alternative strategies for analytical systems to effectively share data.
  • Evaluate and identifies specifications, best practices, integration and proper use of emerging technology as they relate to overall architecture.
  • Develop and maintain future state architectures and transition roadmaps which meet the enterprise needs as identified during current state architecture analysis and the assessment of gaps and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in leading and mentoring technical staff in software and product developments.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive software solutions.
  • Significant experience in developing and implementing reusable data services.
  • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience in system, application, and/or database administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of system or application administrator experience in networking/distributed computing environment.
  • At least 4 years of experience in architecting & migrating applications on Azure. At least 3 years of experience in project execution.
  • Extensive background and expertise in developing and managing data technologies, technical operations, and related tools and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of security best practices, development methodologies and modeling techniques, and documenting the operational policies and procedures.
